The carving
"Blanket Toss" has been one of Jonas' signature
carvings for many years. Before the "Blanket Toss"
game became a traditional fun and game for Inuit for many
generations, it played a very important function for Inuit in
their quest for good hunting. In the flat Artic tundra, sighting
a hunting game from a distance was very difficult. The Inuit
would blanket toss a person to air, so he could spot animals in
far distance.
