"Wolf Spirits"

by Henry Family of the Iroquois Six Nations:

In Iroquois Native Indian culture, the wolf symbolizes "patience" & "endurance", and considered as a sacred animal. The circle symbolizes "a circle of life". The Henry Family has adapted these symbolisms in their carvings with their own symbolism of "hallow" at the centre of the circle as "spirit" - thus the message of "harmony", "togetherness", "balance" and "power" communicate strongly through the carving "Wolf Spirits".
